Microscopes I Recommend

I’m not sponsored by any of these companies, but I get asked often what I use; so here are the links.

Amazon.com : Wireless Digital Microscope, Skybasic 50X-1000X Magnification WiFi Portable Handheld Microscopes with Adjustable Stand HD USB Microscope Camera Compatible with iPhone Android iPad Windows Mac Computer : Electronics This works really well hooked up to my laptop, I can view photos and videos in real time. And using the larger screen of my laptop is helpful when viewing the small micro subjects.

Amazon.com : TOMLOV DM9 Pro 7″ HDMI Digital Microscope 1200X with IPS Screen, 16MP Coin Microscope Magnifier for Full Coin View, 1080P LCD Soldering Microscopes for Adults with 10 LED Lights, PC/TV View, 32GB : Electronics My family has had an older model of this for four years and we love it. You can hook it up to a computer or even a TV, but the screen on the microscope works great by itself. It comes with an SD card and allows you to take photos and videos directly on the scope.

Amazon.com : Elikliv Microscope, LCD Digital Coin Microscope 1000x, Coin Magnifier with 8 Adjustable LED Lights, PC View Compatible with Windows/MacBook, EDM4, 4.3 Inch : Electronics This one is similar to the Tomlov DM9, this is a portable model with a 3-hour battery.

Amazon.com: BEAVERLAB Finder Microscope for Kids, Handheld Miniscope, 1600X Portable Kids Microscope, Mini Pocket Microscope, 4.0″ Digital Microscope for Boys Girls, Educational Science Kit Toys : Toys & Games This microscope is great if you’re looking at small creatures or fossils that fit under the clear case. It doesn’t work as well if you’re holding it slightly above a bigger item or at snail eggs in your freshwater aquarium. (I’ve tried this.) And this does have a rechargeable battery, so patience is required for a 3 hour window.

Let me know if you try any of these or if you have a favorite not on my list as I’m always looking for new science technology to try.
