About

Michelle has loved being in nature for as long as she can remember, always asking her parents and grandparents to identify the animals and plants in their backyards. Family adventures were frequent at the zoo, city and state parks, aquariums, and even local woodlands.

Now as an adult, she’s passed the same love of nature on to her daughter. Together they study astronomy (space), herpetology (amphibians and reptiles), microorganisms (things only seen with a microscope), and paleontology (fossils). Michelle has previously served as the President of the Dallas Paleontological Society (2023 and 2024).
