Thanksgiving offers a great learning opportunity for bird skeletons. This can be done with any chicken, turkey, or other fowl bird. 1. cook the bones in a crock pot of stock water for a day until all meat comes off easily. (The stock can be saved for soups.) 2. Soak the clean bones in hydrogen peroxide overnight. 3. Let the bones dry completely on paper towels. *** UPDATE as I have added a blog post about my own turkey bone adventure.
